Maddie McCuddy is a creative photojournalist based in Missoula, Montana. and has traveled all throughout the western U.S. She received her bachelor's degree in Photojournalism from the University of Montana, and has a minor in Wilderness Studies. She specializes in capturing the human experience in rural areas— how people affect the land and how the land is affected by people.

She’s most interested in long-form storytelling through environmental journalism in rural areas. When Maddie’s not taking photos, she might be found running around in the mountains, experimenting in the kitchen, or rapping My Shot by Hamilton.
